The Tempest is the enthralling tale of Prospero, a magician and the former Duke of Milan. Twelve years before the play takes place, Prospero's brother stole his dukedom and forced him to flee. In the present, Alonso, King of Naples, Antonio, Prospero's brother, Gonzalo, a good noble, and a few others shipwreck on an desert island, caused by a magical storm. Prospero has his spirit servant, Ariel, bring Ferdinand, the Prince of Naples, to him. Eventually, Ferdinand falls in love with Miranda, Prospero's daughter, and they plan to get married. Meanwhile, the other nobles are searching for Ferdinand. Using his magic, Prospero guides the nobles to him and makes them give his dukedom back. The play ends with the nobles repenting for the foul deeds.
